At Fairfields Farm, we take great pride in cultivating and managing over 350 acres of thriving orchards, producing a diverse range of high-quality eating and cider apples. Our commitment to sustainable farming practices ensures the long-term health of our crops, soil, and surrounding ecosystems. By integrating environmentally responsible techniques, including soil health management, precision irrigation, and habitat conservation, we strive to maintain a balanced and productive agricultural landscape.
In addition to our orchards, Fairfields Farm is home to a well-established livery yard. Our naturally free-draining sandy soil provides excellent year-round turnout conditions, ensuring the welfare and comfort of the horses in our care.
As part of our dedication to high standards in food production and environmental stewardship, we are proud to hold both Red Tractor and LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) accreditations. These certifications reflect our commitment to responsible farming, food safety, and sustainability, ensuring that our produce meets rigorous quality and ethical standards.
Fairfields Farm grows premium apples, pears and plums using a modern post-and-wire system for optimal quality and efficiency. After harvest, fruit is stored, graded, and packed at Wye Fruit, Ledbury, ensuring freshness. Direct delivery minimizes handling, supporting a sustainable farm-to-table supply chain.
At Fairfields Farm, we are committed to fostering strong connections within our local community. We collaborate with fellow farmers and producers to champion local agriculture and promote sustainable farming practices. Through our educational tours for schools and community groups, we provide valuable insights into the importance of farming and the journey of food from farm to table. Additionally, we support local charities by donating a portion of our fruit, reinforcing our dedication to social responsibility and community well-being.
